Filmed in multiple locations In Transit traces the primary western migration route across the Mediterranean to Europe. Produced in collaboration and through a series of conversations with British asylum seekers and refugees at The Boaz Trust Manchester. The artist embodies the positions adopted by a migrant ‘in transit’ and performs these movements within the public realm in site- specific locations. The performances are recorded on film and presented as a moving image installation with sound. So far, the artist has performed this work in Casablanca (Morocco), Tangier (Morocco), Algeciras (Spain), Menorca (Mediterranean).
